Koopmans Mix for Butter Cake
Instructions for use
Add yourself: 200 g butter and 1 egg. Requirements • 1 pack of Koopmans Butter Cake • 200 g butter • 1 egg (M) (everything at room temperature) Kitchen utensils • Butter cake tin or springform 24 cm • Mixer with dough hooks Oven temperature Electric oven: 200°C Fan oven: 180°C Gas oven: speed 4- 5 Preparation time Preparation: approx. 10 minutes Baking time: 22-27 minutes Preparation method 1. Place the rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven. 2. Grease the mold with butter or use cooking spray (eg Dr. Oetker). 3. Beat the egg in a bowl. 4. Gently stir the 200 g butter in a mixing bowl. Then add the butter cake mix and 2/3 of the beaten egg and knead with a mixer with dough hooks or by hand into a cohesive dough. 5. Place the dough in the baking tin and spread the dough over the tin with the back of a wet spoon. 6. Brush the dough with the rest of the beaten egg. 7. Use a fork to draw oblique lines in the dough to create a diamond pattern. 8. Bake the butter cake for 22-27 minutes until done and golden brown. 9. Let the butter cake cool for about 1 hour before removing it from the mold. Tips & variations • Mix (about 100 g) of mixed (chopped) nuts with the remaining egg. Divide the nut mixture over the cake and press it down slightly. Advice: do not use pecan or walnuts. • You can also knead additional ingredients into the dough. For example: 75 g ground coconut, the grated zest of half an orange, 2 sachets of vanilla sugar or 2 tablespoons of lemon zest (eg Dr. Oetker).
