Preparation :Basic pea soup (2 to 3 persons): Ingredients: 250 g split peas, 1 liter of water, 1 finely chopped onion, 100 g soup vegetables, salt or stock cubes. Method : 1. Wash the split peas and slowly bring to the boil with clean water. 2. From the moment the split peas start to boil, let them simmer for about 1 to 2 hours in a closed pan until the split peas are tender. Stir regularly. Split peas are a natural product, so the cooking time may vary. 3. Add the soup vegetables and let it simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes. Stir regularly. Add salt or stock cubes as desired.
